2022.01.26 02:23 Old_Caterpillar_5199 「Technical Ecstasy」
| Stand Name:「Technical Ecstasy」|
Namesake: Technical Ecstasy album by Black Sabbath
Localized Name: Mechanical Bliss
Stand Master: Myself
Stand type: Range-Irrelevant Stand, Artificial Humanoid Stand, Long-Range Stand
Stand Appearance:「Technical Ecstasy」takes on the appearance of a tall, masculine humanoid wearing black and kale-green mechanical boots that goes up to its knees. It wears body armor, just like the mechanical boots, which are colored in black and kale-green, leaving only its torse, neck, elbows, and neck exposed, which is dark grey. It has two speakers protruding out of its shoulders and has bass speakers in its hands and feet. It wears a face mask which, much like its body armor, is colored in black kale-green and has metallic bright-red eyes similar to「Echoes: ACT 3」and wears a metallic hood colored in kale-green (what a surprise) over its head.
「Technical Ecstasy」can manipulate sound waves using the speakers on its shoulders, hands, or feet. It can change the frequency and volume of the sounds it can generate. For example, if「Technical Ecstasy」stomps its foot down, then the sound its foot-speaker generates will reverberate in the ground, causing tremors depending on the volume「Technical Ecstasy」generates the same goes for its hand-speakers, the speakers on its shoulder, however, work differently. Its shoulder speakers release a sonic blast powerful enough to destroy metal with ease and can potentially break the sound barrier, and they can also be used as loudspeakers.

2022.01.26 02:23 NoBad2522 AITA for wanting to go off at a girl that recently started hanging out with my friends and I.
I have a friend group that consists of 15 people. Every week day we all have lunch together. Sometimes it's at someone's house/apartment, or at a park or restaurant. We would also go to movies, museums or just hangout. Recently I'm gonna call her Hannah joined our lunches. At first I thought she was really nice and funny but after getting to know her she's a total bitch. She's very rude and disrespectful. She is very aggressive in a playful way but actually hurts you. Hannah talks really rude about the others. One girl , Beth is enrolled at a high performing arts school and paints. Her art is shown at art shows. Everyone loves them except for Hannah. Hannah would pull one of us to the side and laugh while saying how stupid her paintings are and how Beth should be studying a real career. Hannah always complains about Beth. It's driving me mad! I love Beth as a friend, I really hate how Hannah talks about her. It is quite gross in someones personality when they are clearly jealous and hate on someone for no reason. I know that if Beth found out about Hannah saying those things it would crush her because Hannah acts like such a great friend around Beth. Hannah is also rude to one of my best friends Sam. He is such a sweet guy and always is nice to everyone. Hannah will comment on how he is "ugly" or how he is annoying. She purposely hits him or trips him. She thinks it is funny because he has a slower way of working. It's disrespectful when someone is mean to my friend that I have known forever but even more disrespectful when that person has a disability. I know alot of us don't want her to hangout with us anymore and come to our lunches, but she won't leave. Would I be the asshøle if I told her off and telling her she would not be welcome to hangout and come to lunches or events anymore.

2022.01.26 02:23 nursedana2 Pharmacy Apathy
I don’t normally have time to write elaborate letters regarding complaints. I do make time to stop and tell managers when I receive excellent service, or an employee goes above and beyond. This week I am home from work. I have Covid.
My 85-year-old father, Ralph, is adjusting to a new life after losing his wife of 57 years only days before Christmas. He has had a great deal of difficulty as he has always been “needed”. He retired almost 20 years ago and has had 2 different careers since and volunteers both as a Chaplin for the American Legion and a part time store attendant at the art gallery. He likes to keep busy and the past couple of years had to quit his post as the Chaplin and his membership with the Art Guild in order to take care of his wife as her health was failing. He is quite lost at the present time. The first of the week he had an encounter with a pharmacist at CVS in Rockville, Indiana.
I would like to note a past event that may have had some influence on recent events. My father suffered headaches fairly frequently and took Tylenol on most occasions. In the 1970s he encountered a bottle of Tylenol that he opened and noted had “a terrible bitter taste” and compared it to the new saccharine sweetener my mother used as a diet aid. He disliked saccharine a lot. He promptly spit the Tylenol out and rinsed his mouth and stated that he hoped the makers of Tylenol were not trying to make the pills taste sweeter. Not long after this incident the news reported the deaths of innocent people due to a contaminate some sick person had added to some of the Tylenol. My father was very frightened and upset and wondered if he had narrowly escaped the possible deadly contaminate himself. He blamed himself for not reporting the bitter tasting medicine and possibly saving lives of the other people that took the tainted med. He knew this might be a long shot but felt guilty just the same.
The week of January 24th began with Church on Sunday. My father has a very set routine and does not like to stray from it. He finds comfort in his routine as he has become very forgetful, and this structure has check systems to keep him from forgetting what needs to be done. He fills his pill box for the week. He puts all pills into the day they are to be taken and the box stays upon the dining room table where he begins his day. This week he had placed the empty box into the dishwasher and set it out to dry the evening prior. On Sunday he refilled the box for the week. On Monday, Dad went to remove his morning pills and noticed that some of the pills looked strange. After checking all the other days compartments, he noted that the pills appeared to be “dissolving” and turning into a powder. He also noted that the capsules appeared as if there were “suction inside them and they were collapsing”. He called his daughter to inquire what might cause such a thing to occur. She stated that there was probably moisture inside the box. He stated that was impossible as it had been sitting open since Saturday night. He noted that was the day he made Chili and used the dishwasher, a rarely used appliance, due to having a made “a big mess”. I asked him if any of the medications were new or if any had changed. He stated no but did note that he recently opened a bottle of Vitamin B Complex tabs and that they “did not smell right”. Dad stated, “I should have gone back to the store when I opened them”. He stated he had been purchasing the CVS brand for a couple of years and noted that while “all vitamins stink but this was really not that kind of stink”. He then added that “it smelled like when that racoon got stuck in the chimney at the cabin”. It was a horrible smell that kept us away from our summer vacation spot until an exterminator discovered the unfortunate animal had died after apparently becoming stuck in the fireplace chimney. Professional cleaners removed and swept the chimney, but the smell remained, and we only made a few brief visits that year. It was an awful smell.
My Dad enjoys Mondays in January a great deal as he is retired and loves football and many Mondays he talks about his thick wool socks and how much he loves flannel pajamas and Mondays indoors. I am unclear if this was Sunday or Monday that he visited the CVS pharmacy, but he got dressed and went out into the cold on a mission to help others. He collected his pill minder and the Vitamin B Complex (CVS) brand and went in person to report to the pharmacist this strange occurrence. My parents have used this pharmacy for many years, and they were aware of my Mothers passing. Each time I visited during the holidays they would tell me how sorry they were to hear she was sick, and later how sorry they were to hear of her passing.
My father does not take now and has never taken any psychotropic medication or anything that would indicate he had any sort of any mental disorder. If someone, for instance a pharmacist, thought there was some sort of mental issue it would not be hard to excuse himself briefly to check my father’s medication list.
My father approached the pharmacist with a very serious question regarding what may have caused the pills to change as they had. The pharmacist stated he had no explanation and although my father was hoping there was some logical reason, he accepted it was an unknown. He then mentioned the Vitamin B Complex and you know where I am going. He felt this was the second reason to be concerned about this Vitamin. He told the pharmacist about the new bottle of B Complex and noted that he routinely purchases this same brand. When he offered the bottle to the pharmacist to smell the product the pharmacist shook his head and stated, “No, I don’t want to smell it”. My father informed him that he thought all vitamins had a bad smell but that this bottle seemed to be quite different and told him the product may indeed have an issue. He offered a second time to see if the pharmacist wanted to visually inspect the product and even stated, “Well it won’t kill you to smell it but it may shed some light on a problem if there is one”. The pharmacist became rude and stated that he did not want to smell it and wasn’t going to smell the vitamin. At this point my father was thinking if there is a product issue, and no one reports it, how exactly do they determine when a recall of something should happen. He asked the pharmacist and became visibly angry asking, “Don’t you even care if it is bad?” and the pharmacist replied, “I don’t care”. My Father stated he said it with a blank face and a flat stare that became a strange grin. My Dad decided he would not be treated rudely by this man again and collected his belongings and left the store. He went to another pharmacy and promptly moved his scripts.
I am not sure why you would not humor an old man that might have a little too much time, too many hours of evening news horror stories and time to worry about things like bad Vitamins on the shelf at his local store.
My Father is a retired railroad worker. He served his country and was honorably discharged. He worked hard so that my Mother could raise us. He paid for private school and private tutors for his disabled son to have a somewhat normal life. He fears God and knows evil is all about us. He doesn’t understand why there are so many people that do terrible things in this world. He wants to believe there is good in all people and that we are all diligently doing our best for the greater good. He flies the American flag in his yard. He prays before every meal. He gets angry when entitled little bitches like the man at CVS act like they don’t have time to care. Honestly, sometimes good customer service is just pretending to care.
This is my first Reddit post. I hope someone reads this. I would really love to hear one person agree this guy should have acted concerned, thanked my Dad for the info, and let an old man think he saved somebody from something.
